Safeena’s story is a tale of resilience and hope. Growing up in Ponnani, Malappuram district, with a family of five siblings and a wage laborer father, Safeena’s life was not without its challenges. However, her situation worsened when she developed a disability, which made it difficult for her to walk.

Despite the initial shock, Safeena’s parents refused to give up and tried various methods to help her. Safeena’s desire to study was cut short due to a lack of opportunities for children with disabilities. However, her life changed when she saw a video about the Ability Foundation on YouTube.

Determined to make a change, Safeena overcame objections from family and friends to join the Ability Foundation. In the two years since she became a part of the institution, Safeena’s life has transformed. She has had the opportunity to experience new things, including visiting places through wheelchair access and even appearing on television.
