About Us

Ability Foundation for the Disabled

A Non-Government Charitable Organization functioning for the empowerment of all categories of the differently abled persons including the hearing impaired, visually impaired, locomotor disabled especially paraplegics, intellectually disabled, autistics and multiple disabled since its inception in the year 2009.

The organization is located at Pulikkal, Malappuram district of Kerala.

It is steered by a group of eminent visionaries hailing from different socio-economic and cultural environment taking into the consideration of this service as their self-responsibility.

  • Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for the differently abled in the mainstream

OUR MISSION

Establishment and running of centre of excellence, projects and programs for offering better therapy, education, skill promotion and personality development of differently abled persons by incorporating advanced science and technology with greater consideration for their mainstreaming.

OUR REGISTRATIONS

  • Registered as society with 228/2009 under Societies Registration Act of 1860
  • Registered as an NGO under NITI Ayog, Government of India- No-KL/2017/0174603.
  • Registered under 12 A and tax exemptions available for donations under section 80G of Income tax Act (31/80G/25/CIT-CLT/2013-14).
  • Sanctioned to avail CSR funds vide order No. CSR00009436 of Ministry of Company Affairs, Government of India.
  • Registration under persons with Disabilities Act (PWD Registration No-SJD/2473/2021-D8).

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS

2022

State Award for the Best NGO functioning for the empowerment of PWDs instituted by the department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala to Ability Foundation for the Disabled.

2019

State Award for the Best Institution for the hearing impaired, instituted by the department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala to Ability Arts and Science College for Hearing Impaired.

As Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." With your unwavering support, we have been able to achieve significant milestones in education, therapy, and skill development.

None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of our dedicated team of office bearers, members,staff and supporters. Their commitment to our mission has been truly inspiring, and we are grateful for their unwavering support.

As we look towards the future, we are confident that we will continue to make even greater strides in creating a more inclusive and equitable world.
